What Can You Expect After Joining The Navy?

Perhaps like many people, you may be either apprehensive or ill-advised about the life you could expect after enlistment in the US Navy. However, contrary to hearsay, the US Navy offers a far more personable and professional environment than perceived and provides its sailors with every support, training, comfort and convenience to grow. So, if you decide to join the US Navy, approach with a positive, open mind … and listen to that ambitious, optimistic voice within you.

Top fitness at boot camp

At navy boot camp, you learn to be a sailor first, irrespective of your field of specialization. Here you’ll be taught a variety of extreme physical and mental-challenging skills in a tough, uncompromising environment … from learning survival techniques in hostile, inhospitable conditions to handling cutting-edge military firearms; from learning the nuances of drills and marching, to learning modern first-aid techniques.

Above all, at boot camp you’ll acquire a robust physique, great physical strength and stamina, and the ability to take on whatever physical or intellectual challenge is thrown at you during your term of duty.

Top training at A-School

A-School is where the US Navy will provide you with initial career training based on your area of specialization. This will be followed by a series of training programs to further sharpen your skills in the career path you’ve chosen. A-School training covers a wide gamut of disciplines, among them music, military intelligence, computer technology, communications, navigation, medicine, photo-journalism, and a lot more. And music for your ears is that this professional training is for free, courtesy the US Navy.
