Third Of Huge Assault Ships Nears Gulf To Bring US Navy Aid
The work of the US Navy in helping out in the Gulf of Mexico continues, as the heavy assault vessel USS Ponce steams toward the Gulf of Mexico at high speed.
The ship left Naval Station Norfolk on September 14th to reach the Gulf as soon as possible, working to join its sister ships the USS Bataan and the USS Nassau.
