The U.S.S. Frank Cable has provided a number of youngsters from the Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps students from Father Duenas Memorial High School an interesting look into what occurs on a Naval supply and refit ship. These students have been given a glimpse into seafaring life and the inner workings of these awe-inspiring ships. By providing this look, the U.S. Navy has allowed possible future sailors an opportunity to understand the world they may choose to go into in order to allow them the chance to plan for the future. Many crewmembers enjoyed having the students onboard and the students were equally pleased. Many remarked how surprised they were to have enjoyed their time aboard so much, and were delighted at how family-oriented each crewmember appeared to be. During a time when most naval ships are ready for war, this form of communication and teamwork is right on level for delivering the best that the Navy sailors have to offer. By working together and inspiring future sailors, the Navy has once again showed itself to be continuing the honorable tradition that has shown the entire world what the U.S. Navy can do.
