The ‘X-Factor’ is What Powers Navy Seals

If you’ve seen those extraordinarily tough, macho, stealthy and undefeatable Navy Seals perform on television, and in movies, these highly trained, special operations’ combatants are no different in real life. And that’s why they’re rated as the most highly trained soldiers in the US Military.

So what drives Navy Seals to do, what most people would term, the impossible? The answer is simple – Navy Seals have, what one in a thousand people do not …”the X-factor”.

X-TRA Ordinary Training

Navy Seals have the distinction of undergoing the US Military’s toughest and most physically exhausting, training programs. For 30 months, Seals are tested to the limits of their mental and physical endurance. They’ll be sleep-deprived; run miles with full gear load; made to swim in body-numbing, frigid water; taught martial arts, sabotage techniques and explosive ordnance disposal; plus a variety of covert warfare skills, and a lot more.

X-TRA Sharp Eyesight

Sharp eyesight is a mandatory, pre-qualification that all Seals must possess. This is why Navy Seals have vision that’s far sharper than the minimum 20/40 and 20/70 stipulated. Sharp eyesight is one of the vital keys to a mission’s success during covert operations, as Seals are required to be able to detect targets or enemy combatants, often in poor light conditions, as also their own fellow Seals.

X-TRA Special Commitment

To a Navy Seal, deep commitment and dedication to a cause, or military objective, and above all, commitment to the country’s security, are of paramount importance. This is one of the main driving forces that keep Seals going, even in life-threatening situations, or the most inhospitable conditions.
